Dressing Sets for Stoma care
Since many years a PEG feeding tube became a standard for percutaneous enteral nutrition. It is a decent and convenient form to deliver food to the patient. Approximately 2-4 weeks after placement of a PEG a stoma is formed around the entry point of the feeding tube. With a good daily routine, the stoma can be kept healthy and free from irritations.
Until the stoma is fully formed and mature protect the site with a sterile cloth.
- The Hermann Dressing Set is a special Dressing for a fresh PEG stoma care. A silver-coated slit compress works against bacteria. Sterile compresses cover the stoma which can be fixed by a stretch plaster. A special plaster fixes the feeding tube to the dressing.
- The Erlanger Dressing Set is for long-term stoma care. It contains slit compresses and sterile clothes.
