Transnasal Feeding Tubes
An easy body access
The right feeding tube for every indication
Transnasal feeding tubes help patients to get their feed quickly when they need it, whether in acute care or ICU care. They are available as gastric tubes and intestinal tubes. Transnasal tubes can also be used for drainage and decompression of stomach fluid to prevent from vomiting. They are intended for a short-to medium-term use of up to 4 weeks. Naso-gastric tube placement usually requires no additional tools, whereas naso-intestinal tubes or multilumen tubes are more expediently placed using endoscopy.
For every indication Fresenius Kabi provides the right feeding tube. This site covers transnasal feeding tubes for adults.
For neonates and children please see our ProNeo Feeding Tubes.

Multi-lumen feeding tubes
Multi-lumen feeding tubes are special tubes for ICU patients, who require jejunal feeding and simultaneous gastric drainage or decompression. This may be required in patients after trauma, or in ventilated patients. Multi-lumen feeding tubes have the advantage of of multiple functionality combined into a single device, which is more comfortable for the patient and caregivers. Only one nostril of the patient is needed, allowing easier breathing. For this purpose, Fresenius Kabi offers two sophisticated multilumen feeding tubes developed with the experience gained in more than 20 years.
