Dressing sets for stoma care

For many years a PEG feeding tube has been a standard for percutaneous enteral nutrition. It is an reliable and convenient form to deliver food to the patient. Within approximately 2-4 weeks after placement of a PEG a stoma is formed around the entry point of the feeding tube. With a good daily routine, the stoma can be kept healthy and free from irritations.

Until the stoma is fully formed and mature, protect the site with a sterile dressing.

  • The Hermann Dressing Set is a special dressing for stoma care of a newly inserted PEG . A silver-coated slit prevents ingress of bacteria. Sterile compresses cover the stoma, which can be fixed by a stretch plaster. A fixing stipe fixes the feeding tube on the dressing.
  • The Erlanger Dressing Set is for long-term stoma care. It comprises slit compresses and sterile dressings.
