Giving Sets

Giving Sets - the right fit matters

Enteral Giving Sets are used to transfer the enteral nutrition or liquids from a feeding container to an enteral feeding tube implanted into the patient. There are several individual routes for the delivery of enteral feeds depending on your patient’s needs. With the wide variety of Fresenius Kabi’s Giving Sets you will find the right products for the best individual route.

Giving Sets for pump feeding with the Amika pump

Use of the Amika pump requires dedicated Giving Sets. Only with these specific sets a good compatibility and flow rate be ensured with the pump. You can recognise such Giving Sets by the purple Amika Tube clamp.

  • The pump clamp can be positioned along the length of the Giving Set, resulting in more freedom of movement for the patient as well as the caregiver.
  • No bulky pump segment is required.

  • Different kinds of containers can be attached
  • A drip chamber allows you to see the flow of the nutrition

  • The ENFit connector on the distal end is the enteral standard for a safe connection
  • An ENFit syringe can be attached to the 3-way-stopcock without disconnecting the set from the feeding

  • A dedicated patented pump clamp ensures best compatibility with the Amika feeding pump

Giving Sets for gravity-assisted feeding

Nutrition can also be delivered without a pump for gastric feeding of non-critical patients with average flow rates. The flow regulation has to be set and controlled manually by adjusting a roller clamp.

For each feeding reservoir Fresenius Kabi provides the right Giving Set

Connection EasyBag

The EasyBag contains the safe standardized ENPlus port which avoids misconnection with I.V. Sets. The EasyBag cross spike on the EasyBag Set can be connected to the ENPlus port. EasyBag Sets can be used for any reservoir with the ENPlus Port.

HydroBag

The HydroBag is an empty bag to administer water to the patient for their fluid balancing. You can use the EasyBag Set to attach.

Wideneck Bottle Icon

For wideneck bottles or crown cork bottles Fresenius Kabi offers the universal VarioLine Sets. These sets have an ENPlus spike for the EasyBag and a VarioLine Adaptor for different bottles types. The VarioLine Sets are available for pump-assisted and gravity-assisted application. The VarioLine Comfort Sets offer the highest flexibility for the dual use of gravity and pump administration.

Amika Bag

Bagsets have a fix bag attached to the GivingSets. They are available for pump-assisted or gravity-assisted feeding.

Amika Backpack

If the patient wants to move freely while getting their nutrition a backpack can be used to store the equipments. It requires a specific Giving Set without a drip chamber. A feeding pump must always be used. Two mobile sets are available: a Set for connection to the EasyBag and a BagSet.

Syringe

Feeding with an ENFit syringe can be performed either as a manual bolus or using a syringe pump, especially in neonatal care. To withdraw nutrition from the EasyBag using an ENFit syringe, the EasyBag Bolus Adaptor can be used. For administering the nutrition to the feeding tube, the ENFit syringe can be connected directly to the feeding tube or via an extension line.

EasyBottle Connector

Although the 200 ml EasyBottle is primarily intended for sip feeding, it can also be used for tube feeding in certain cases. For this purpose, use the dedicated EasyBottle Adaptor in combination with an EasyBag Giving Set.
Please note: The EasyBottle Adaptor is different from the Varioline adaptor. It can be identified by its blue side valve.
