Living with Dysphagia

If you have swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), thickened fluids can be used to modify the consistency of drinks, helping to support swallowing management as part of your care plan. 

Your speech and language therapist (SLT) or dietitian will recommend the IDDSI* thickness level that best meets your individual needs.

Pre-thickened oral nutritional supplement

Fresubin Thickened LEVEL 2 (mildly thick) | Fresubin Thickened LEVEL 3 (moderately thick). 200 ml bottles. 300 kcal, 20 g protein. Ready to drink.

Powdered Thickeners

Thick & Easy Original (starch-based) | Thick & Easy Clear (gum-based, amylase-resistant). Adjust drinks or food to the recommended consistency as advised by your healthcare team. Maintains the normal appearance of fluid and tasteless.

Fresubin Thickened Level 2 and Level 3 are pre-thickened, high energy, high protein drinks to support the nutritional needs of those with dysphagia. Thick&Easy and Thick&Easy Clear can be used to adjust the thickness of any drink to align with your prescirbed IDDSI level.
